Camping in our State Parks

Fire

Camping in Florida has become a favorite way to explore and enjoy new areas. Although only an hour from our house, Manatee Springs State Park is in the middle of a diverse area of springs, rivers, small towns, and undeveloped coast.

The park itself offers well shaded campsites and access to the main spring and the spring run to the Suwannee River near Chiefland, Fl. It also offers friendly wildlife!

The river itself offers great opportunities to paddle and boat for days and there are many areas to explore, including small towns like Suwannee and the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge with its scenic dirt roads: swetearmap
